Alright, I think this would be cool. When passing around your phone to show off a picture, it would be great to use the media button (the same one that pauses/plays music) to lock the rotation and maybe the touch controls as well. This would prevent people accidently adjusting or changing the image unintentionally when the phone changes hands.

A simple click of the button would unlock it again, and if a person attempted to use the touch screen, an image of a lock could dissolve into view.

This actually might come in handy... nosy people everywhere... props on the smart brainstorming...
I'm less worried about accidental swipes than the people who start swiping around after they see the pic you wanted them to see
