    This is all on your phone in the help app, type 'icon' using the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen, then open the help app

    I think you mean the thing like an N It means nfc is on. It's listed in the wireless connections section.

    That symbol next to the battery seems to be or is becoming a standard for "location" stuff. I don't know exactly when it comes up here, but I'll guess (if someone saw it only briefly, maybe just after startup?) that it's appearing when the device is having to take a moment to update its location information in some way that didn't produce an instantaneous result.

    Note the Location Services icon in the Settings. It's also the icon you'll often see used on maps for a Point of Interest (POI).
