I now have 10.2 on Verizon and it's slow as molasses half the time and the battery drain is awful. 4.5 hours from full to dead. Also 9 gb all on system AWFUL.

Love to have any help making my z10 better hopefully I'm just missing something.

There are a ton of threads about conserving battery power.
Set your screen brightness down to 20%.
Uninstall that Twitter and reinstall....544MB???? What's that about?
Turn off BT when not in use.
Use wi-fi as much as possible.
Close apps. Don't have too many active frames open.

There are lots of other tips Im sure you can find by searching.

How long have you had the OS update on your phone?

Love my Z10 with no buts! It does what I am trying to do, everyday - all day. Still waiting on TMO to roll out their 10.2.1 but for now I'm running leaked 10.2.1.1925 with no real issues to speak of. It is running smooth, good battery life, great new features, and business oriented to the hilt! Was at the TM Store and rep guy was trying to get me to upgrade to the Samsung Note3. The Note3 is impressive but when I thought about how much I'm loving my Z10, I had to pass. In fact, I could upgrade and have my work issue me a Z10 from my 9630 but my 9630 sits on my desk and all my work and personal is on the Z10. I just forward my calls from my work cell to my Z10 personal number. Point is this, the Z10 meets both my needs. I really don't understand why the Z10 is getting such a bad rap. :-( I just wished BB marketed their products in the U.S. a little bit better. STOP trying to REACH the American market with a EURO flair and look; then stop making the American market the last market to get new updates and phone launches. Americans ARE NOT better than anyone else, we just think we are. So know your market and play to it, instead of trying to redefine it.

Why should I have to uninstall and reinstall Twitter? BlackBerry should have away for me to clear the cache.

I've had the new OS for two days. Can't stay on wi fi all the time so can't do much for that... shouldn't matter to much though since most of the battery usage is in standby.

Yes I think that's screwy as well but not sure what to do to fix it? 8.75 vs 2.4 is a huge difference!
@jaydee screen brightness is at 20%, since you are an ambassador maybe suggest to someone that these battery tricks become a sticky not a "you can search around" PS didn't have extreme battery issues until the update.

My reaction would be to backup media and app data, wipe and reload the OS. And possibly wipe again before restoring my data.

My twitter is 212mb. Battery wise, I keep my screen on 100%all the time. That said, I have chargers everywhere and carry three spare batteries

Yeah, I would recommend a wipe and re-install. However, I'm not a big Tweeter but I do check it and follow a few threads but my cache has never built up that big.

Not sure why everyone is focusing on a half a gig in Twitter when every other screen shot has 1, 2 or 3 programs with more than that being stored. Don't think that .5GB is causing my 9GB storage problem.
Will try wipe and reload.

I'd it's cache, is there no utility way to clear that? I'd hate to think that BlackBerry devices need to be wiped as part of normal maintenance.

What am I doing wrong over here?? I'm having the worst battery life ever! Took my phone off charger 1 1/2 ago and my battery is currently at 62%.

Love my z10 but hate it too at the same time!!!! Plz help me out. And yes iv turned off BT, NFC, brightness at about 30 %. Etc...

It is not so much that as it is a possible bad install. If everyone else's install is taking up 4 to 5 MB and yours is installing with 500 MB then I would be concerned. However, if the program has been on there for a while and you are a heavy app user, don't worry about it. People are just giving you some options to look at that's all.

That's just the amount of battery it has used. Your os is eating up a lot of your battery. What version are you running? And to be fair, my battery is 4500mah, not 1800mah like yours. So that's why it lasts so long

I get what your saying that is why I'm thinking he may have to reinstall. Especially if Tweeter or other apps, for that matter, are not installing properly. I don't remember if his upgrade was from the carrier or a leaked version. If it is from the carrier and he continues to have issues then I would suggest installing a leaked version or visa a versa.
