How? I installed the latest version of the Bochs emulator for Android and threw in the QNX demo floppy file.

That's it. QNX on Android on BB10 powered by QNX.

    Settings I changed:
Enable the Ethernet (ne2k) card emulator
    128K Ram
VGA update freq: 20 (Max - looks smooth as butter when using programs other than the browser)
You can enable trackpad / gamepad support in Bochs to use the Classic's trackpad as a mouse but it doesn't work well enough to be usable.

This was sort of a proof of concept... eventually I'd like to get Android 6.0 or Android Go in a VM on here but I have a feeling it'll run very slowly. QNX was chugging along nicely, but the weird touch controls and browser's RAM usage made it look pretty choppy.
I have a Passport I mess around on but the screen has some issues. Might mess around with that, it'd be quite a bit quicker.

There's also a native remote desktop program for BB10 (Built for BB) so I could run an android VM on my PC and remote desktop in to it on the Classic?

Thank you! thank you! thank you! For sharing this. Is there an “about” menu on there? What version number of QNX from the floppy? does it say?

I would say do a smart watch next. But the options of those have shrank more since Google moved to buyout FitBit within the last few months.

    It's running QNX 4.05, released around 1999

Reboots after or during decompressing the Android 6.0 kernel... live boot isn't going to work on the Classic. I'll try making a virtual hard drive on my PC with Android 6 installed on it.

Have a hunch it's because the VM is running out of RAM.

Will try on Passport too, more RAM and a faster CPU should help.

No dice with live booting Android 6.0 or 4.4 on the Passport or Classic... ARM to x86 to ARM is brutal on the CPU, and I can only get it up to 700megs of RAM.

There's an app called VMOS that runs a VM with Android 5 with root access, requires Android 5.0 to run though. (You can use root features on KEY devices now!) No good for BB10 devices though.

    Define "impossible".
Agreed, it's very, very unlikely to happen.

Impossible for any of us mortal humans to do it.

Not impossible for those deep within the bowels of BlackBerry who did do it with special hardware in a Passport that allowed them to test it out. After all, they developed the device, and could pretty much do whatever they wanted to one to make it work in their labs.
