    I am on a passport and I get the message you are not signed into blackberry I'd. Is there a way to turn off that notification?

    Back in the day, I think that was just the way BlackBerry reminded people to sign in with their BBID. With no BBID based apps going to work anyway after the upcoming deadline, it is now just an annoying meaningless reminder/notification.

    Yep. I get at least 2 of those every day on my BBID-less Z10.

    Perhaps, but I assume it is triggered based on something built into the device, as opposed to the backend.

    I agree. I think the device itself - whether the OS, or some of the built-in apps, like BBW - is what's expecting to have a BBID set.

    The phone itself is basically telling us "you really need to have this set up, and I'm gonna keep bugging you about it".
