What apps are we talking about?
A reboot should fix this problem.

If only...

Ok then. :) Don't tell.

Nemory (dev) says OS issue
Posted via CB10
What does this mean, did you try a reboot.
I'm just trying to help.

Restart the hub. Swipe down from the top left corner 5 times.
Posted via CB10
Reinstall the apps, then go to BBW to the app page, hit the overflow button (three dots on the right), and uninstall the app from there.
That used to work for me.

Top-right.
That's the way to go. You can also go to the Device Monitor's Storage tab to remove app, and their configuration files ;)
Sorry, meant no offense. This didn't work

its an OS Issue and we 3rd Party Devs have no control in fixing it.
Heres what you can do 50% it will fix or not.
Please restart your phone or uninstall then reinstall the app.
Here are the other apps that has the same issue.

I'm on 10.3.1.2072 and I keep getting g notifications that I need to update my password for Blaq and Whatsapp even tho they are already deleted.
Those apps don't appear anywhere in my BBW "My Apps" area and are not on the list under the Device Monitor's "storage" tab.

The password update notifications are definitely an OS issue. Specifically, the OS doesn't fully clean up hidden accounts those apps create, and decides to flag them as needing password changes. Those apps can do things to stop the notifications when they are installed, but really have no way of running "clean up" code when you go to delete them. The OS should be doing that cleanup, but it isn't.
As far as the duplicate accounts... That's not really an OS issue. That's really the result of some bad advice in the hub example code handed out to developers.
The examples say: "Create an account, save its ID inside your app, then use that ID when setting up with the hub".
What do you think happens if that app is deleted/reinstalled? Remember, a delete/reinstall will clear anything saved inside the app.
So that app just goes right ahead and creates a second account without remembering that it had one already. Viola! Duplicate accounts!
What devs should be doing is: "Create an account with some properties unique to your app, then find that account in the system the next time you need it for setting up with the hub."
That way, if the app is ever deleted/reinstalled, it can find its old account and continue to use it without making any duplicates.
Of course even if the dev does everything right, there are about a dozen things that can fail during the hub setup process. While none of them are likely to fail in testing, any of them can (and will) fail for some real users. So devs also need to be extra paranoid and careful about handling those errors, and its quite easy to miss that.
That is good to hear that 10.3.1 fixes this issue.
Posted using the CB app on my Z10 (10.2.1)
That's another os issue and still app devs don't have control. 10.3.1 hasn't fixed yet
Posted via CB10
Yes same here
Yeah, he's saying this BS for more than year. It's his issue - bad implementation. However, the latest version of Insta10 has this fixed.
Posted via CB10
My issue? Why does other apps have it too? Can you answer why? My answer is because blackberry themselves answered us and told us it's an OS issue.
Posted via CB10
I only HAD (this is important - as I mentioned, Insta10 is without this issue for me) issues with your apps. Not with any others. Even you mentioned about 6 months ago on TW that this is your issue ;)
Posted via CB10
That was 6 months ago. It's an app issue related, but the parent issue is the OS. Get it now?
Posted via CB10
It's probably an OS issue. However, I still run into it with BlackBerry OS 10.3.2.2639.
Each time I install Inst10 and uninstall it, it will add another Inst10 entry to the hub. This is producible now.
I ended up having 4 Inst10 in my Hub. Luckily I could hide them by "Show in Hub only" option.
