I used to own a Z10 but lost the phone just before Christmas (24 hrs of hell, but thats a different story), and now I'm going to get a new phone. I'm still debating between the Classic & the Passport but what I want to know is this. I kept my Z10 backed upto my computer using BB Link so can I use the information saved there to setup a new BB10 device? As I lost my phone it mean't I lost my contacts, calender appointments etc that I had saved on the device and onto my SIM card.
Any help would be usefull, thanks in advance.

Run the restore and you should be fine.

So the restore in Link will trnsfer the information from the Z10 folder to whatever BB10 device I get? No renaming?

If a simple restore gives you issue, use device switch and it will ask if you want to use a previous phone's backup.

Just wondering, off topic perhaps, couldn't you locate your Z10 using BlackBerry Protect?

I managed to set up my Passport by using the Z10 backup using BB Link so thx for the help and advice.
Couldn't locate my Z10 using BB protect as I didn't have GPS or any data service running at the time on the device as I was on my way home from the hospital.
