    I won't lie, I don't have any solutions here - I'm just giving this thread a bump so people see it. There must be LOADS of people with this problem and it's really bugging me that there isn't a definitive answer here. It is making me SAD.

    I know those of us with this issue appreciate the thread boost! I can't begin tell you how frustrating this is. I even deleted the buried WhatsApp folders I found haunting my device among the Android folders, thinking that would help. The last thing I want to do is another total wipe and reload all my software, including a working sideloaded Instagram and DriveSafe.Ly. I'll give it a few more days and keep checking for a solution. Ugh.

    ISSUE RESOLVED! I installed the latest update to WhatsApp (that finally has the option to delete your WhatsApp account...); signed in, then deleted the WhatsApp account, rebooted, and lo and behold, the ghost of WhatsApp Past was removed from the Hub! I am relieved!
