I was wondering if its possible to open many emails at the same time, maybe there is an app that allows this?

If I'm writing an email, and I need to research things by reading content in let's say 3 other emails it would be so nice to have those 3 emails open in separate windows so I could swipe up and click on the various emails.

Such a great point you make.

What I do (and this is by far no solution) is save a draft, go fetch the info I need and then paste it back into the draft.

If it's a webmail account or if your provider allows for web access, you can always use the browser. That way you do manage to have as many emails open as you please (each one a tab).

If there is one thing the HUB does not do so well, is this.

this is one of the capabilities of the PlayBook email client I miss the most in BB10. It wasn't something I used very often, but when I needed it - being able to edit two or more (not sure if there was a limit..) emails was a life saver.

Well, the classic workaround to the multiple email issue is to use the intelligent assistant / universal search to open up its own email instance. Just type "compose email" and it will let you open an email draft window that is distinct from the hub. Then you can use the hub to access the emails you are trying to copy from.

I typed compose email in universal search and didn't get anything, the only categories I have unchecked in search settings are settings and remember.

It's a Q10. close the app and start typing "email Jen" or something.

Ah yeah, on the Q10 with 10.2.1 you just start typing "email" on the homescreen. Been a while since 10.2.

That worked like a charm! Thats a great tip!! It doesn't totally solve my issue when working on a complex email, but its a huge start.

Blackberry should add an item to the dot-dot-dot menu while looking at an email to "open in new window"
