I use it all the time. Showing the videos that I've taken after a day out. Also, I use it to watch videos on tv's when I travel. It's actually one of my favorite features.

I use one of these for HDMI out either for my Z10 or PlayBook. It mirrors the type of adapter / dongle that came with my Nokia N8 (only that uses mini HDMI, which is handy, as my two Android tablets use mini HDMI for HDMI out)

Via nfl app? Is it free?

What other sports are people doing this with, and are they free or pay?

    Posted via CB10
No, there's no official NFL app like Game Pass which is awesome and I'm a subscriber and I so looooove NFL Redzone! I log in via Browser and Game Pass works over flash which is supported by BB10 and so I choose the game, plug microHDMI cable and watch on big TV screen.

To answer your question regarding if it is free or pay, NFL Game Pass is paid and works outside US and I'm not sure but you would probably need VPN to watch all the games in US.

I've used it many times. It's saved movie night for my friends and I at least 5 times already. None of my friends have smart tv's (I need richer friends apparently), so I've used mira-cast a total of 0 times...

Used at least 3 - 4 times a week a few months ago. That stopped as soon as I got a miracast device and also a dlna supported device.

Copyrighted videos don't work on dlna but does work through miracast on most.

Passport uses an MHL connector that combines HDMI output with the microUSB port. Not sure what the Classic will have but it could well be the same.

Well, I have a z10. For pictures it is okay, no problem.. but when I watch a video (taken with the camera) it plays with microlag (mini shutters).
Is it the same for you?

Not at all. Only stutter I get is on miracast and that's when you first open a video. It's almost like the miracast device is trying to catch up to what's being played on phone. After that half second of stutter it's completely normal.

I use the netgear PTV3000 latest firmware updated.

Well, since Benjamin never uses it, I guess it's concluded that it's useless. Close the thread guys, we got our answer.

I use it to connect to a spare HD projector and stream movies to my phone and project them on a 20 foot outdoor screen to watch movies outside during the summer.

It also was very useful when my surface pro had to go back to corporate for repairs and I connected a bt mouse and keyboard and plugged it into my monitor. It was like I had a computer still.

    Practical and entertainment!
