I'm using it too. Streaming over WiFi is of usually more convenient, but not always possible.

I just used it last night actually. I took a trip to NYC, and I was able to show my entire family a picture slide show of my trip on my 50" TV, using the HDMI cable. I download movies on my Z10 for my son, but if he wants to watch them at home, he just plugs it in and watches it on the big TV. I find it very useful. I probably use it 2 or 3 times a month. I love having that option.

If you streamed a show on wifi, why did you use the HDMI Out port?

A very good point, and I wasn't clear in my response!

My z10 was on wifi, plugged into the tele. It's not one of those all-singing all-dancing tele's that is connected. I'd have used my PB, but I left int in work over the weekend.

Use it often for work and personal use. Stream movies and videos when traveling, share photos with friends & family, use it for BB training in the office. Even play an occassional game or two.

    What? LOL
Your question I like asking why did I put gas into my car when I decided to take the bike to work. The former has nothing to do with the latter.

You stream over Wi-Fi because that's the only way you can stream to a device without a hard LAN connector. Then you plug it into HDMI so you don't have to watch your content on a 4-inch screen. Very easy if you ask me.

On topic, I use mine every so often. Quite handy, especially when traveling.

Use mine all the time. Was really looking forward to mira-cast, ordered a dongle from Newegg, and then....well, you know, no miracast for the Z.

Can't imagine how much this cost BB in video sales. What a great quick commercial - guy in a cab on a Z or Q, searches for a movie on device, cab stop, guy runs in to pizza/ chinese/ etc...cut back to guy back in cab selects movie and it begins to download at LTE speeds. Cuts to guy at girls door. Kiss hello. Guy clicks on movie, puts down phone and movie begins to play on TV while guy and girl settle back on couch for a quiet date night. 15-30 second commercial of how these things supposed to work. Heck BB if they had any marketing brains at all would have a BB branded miracast dongle. Could even show it as part of the commercial.

But then again, what do I know?

I use mine quite a bit for the above mentioned reasons. I have a question.....has anyone had problems with color? The color on my Q10 is different than what is displayed on screen. I may have to adjust color settings on the TV for a while to get it to look normal or even close to whats on the phone.

Use it all the time on my 50 inch TV to watch TV shows available on the web.

I use this $20 adapter and plug my BlackBerry into a standard HDMI cable.

Very often. None of my televisions are network enabled, so it's a great way to stream content. Plus, sitting in the living room with the BT keyboard and mouse beats standing around, holding the phone.

I use it practically every evening to watch downloaded movies, video streaming and sometimes to view documents and powerpoint presentations.

I totally disagree with the poster that said it was useless

There was a time my cable service was down, I used my Z10 to stream a live football match and I could enjoy it on my large screen thanks to the HDMI out.

I use mine all the time - it's actually one of the best additions of the phone. I use it to put movies on my TV and watch them, as well as listen to music via my sound system.

I can't believe the BB10 phones are the only good phones on the market with HDMI out!

I use mine very frequently. I would have been just as happy with an MHL connector instead though. Same end result plus charging with an MHL TV set

I have used mine - picked up a hdmi cable from Amazon for $10.00. The quality is amazing. HDMI is more valuable to me than a short cut key on my Z10.

I use mine all the time when I travel to my cousin's house.
All the videos shot over the trip by my Z10 are instantly on the HDTV.
Also, gaming is the $#!t when you play on the large screen

My Q10 doesn't output the full spectrum of colour. It's not noticeable when watching TV shows, but I can't use my screen calibration videos (all shades of grey look identical) and some websites look odd.
