Use it for Netflix movies and series and also for NFL games, and Al Jazeera Sport La Liga and Champions League matches! It's super and makes life easier!

    I use my playbook's a lot, my Z10's... never.

I dont want to have it hooked up to a TV to watch a tv show and not be able to use my phone as a result. Im often replying to messages while watching a show
I do this all the time, the show plays only on the TV and you can still work on the phone.

I have my media pc in the basement and I stream video over BlackBerry Link on WIFI while hooked up to HDMI in my living room. I also use it to display photos from my phone and pc on the TV when family is over.

This. I do the same thing. I've also used it to show Story Maker videos and pictures. Why would someone just say "it's useless" without any claims to back it up when HDMI out obviously has numerous uses? Sounds like someone is being argumentative just for the hell of it.

I use mine almost every week, my wife watches a certain show on MuchMusic that she misses due to work so I stream it to my TV. Just as good quality as watching the actual station.

Use it all the time on my 50 inch TV to watch TV shows available on the web.

I use this $20 adapter and plug my BlackBerry into a standard HDMI cable.

I really gotta buy one of those...

I am constantly using my 42" Z10 and my 42" PlayBook with Z10 remote control... If I had proper internet (15M v/1M ^ is NOT proper internet), I'd probably ditch my cable plan and just stream stuff all day...

15 Mb down should be enough for streaming. I streamed 720p videos all day on 6 Mb. Now I can do 1080p on my 25 Mb connection.

Have you checked your ping and signal levels? I used to not be able to stream over DSL due to high latency levels from bad lines. Cable Internet solved the problem.

I do enterprise BlackBerry training and I am a no-PowerPoint-guy, so everything is live demonstrations.

For the device part, I connect the device directly to the projectors in the room and live demo is on!

In order to have some freedom to move around, I purchased a 5m micro-HDMI cable.

All the time for me. I use it for business presentations (when I'm not using my PB), stream content to the TV, and picture slideshows to TV for family or friends.

    Family video chat!

Gathering around a small screen just doesn't cut it. So with HDMI everybody gets to see everybody else.

I've used it quite often as well. I plug it into my dad's TV to show him videos/pictures of his grandchildren. (He's never used a computer and has enough trouble just working the cable box.) Also works great when traveling, but unfortunately, sometimes hotels don't allow you access to an HDMI input on their TV.

Good news...latest 10.2 has option to hide toast notifications when connected to HDMI.
