Last time, I did over a month without realising it!

Same here, I had more than a month, I think it had to do with how much app, notiffycation, and you usage, you had on your phone that made the different.

Some apps do restart themselves anyway after force closing them (Amazon App Store)
I've noticed that connecting a BlackBerry to Link and making a backup closes all open apps/Active Frames (except the phone). It even closes the official Skype android port.

I've also noticed that taking out the battery will close apps, too, but the ones set to sign in automatically will sign back upon a reboot. For example, I have Google Talk and Yahoo Instant Messenger set to sign in automatically. They sign in after a shut down. They won't re-open themselves to Active Frames, but they'll deliver messages because they run headlessly, and when I tap one of their icons it's evident from how fast they open to their Active Frames that they're not starting from scratch. Skype otoh will always have to be re-opened from scratch after making a backup or restarting, and that's a good thing, because I don't want android apps taking the liberty of starting themselves.

All that said, I restart daily. It's not because I experience any os related need, it's because I swap my battery whenever it's low!

I think once I was over 10 days and I didn't restart, the phone went off due to battery

I have 6 batteries and a dual charger. Every time my battery is low, about 5%, I pop a fresh one. Never have to recharge and it reboots my Z10, refreshes it each time. iPhones can't do that; their battery can't be changed. I never run out of juice in the middle of nowhere!

Also, think of how much wear and tear and potentially destructive nightstand and in-auto accidents you're avoiding on your USB port. That's one of the benefits I love of changing batteries. It saves the USB port. I save at least 365 uses of the USB port per year!

    Are frequent reboots the norm?
    Is an entire month enough?

I only reboot when I install a leak. Put another way, I reboot when I take a leak.

I think the maximum that I went without a reboot is about a month and a half... that too because I purposefully drained the battery completely

I've never seen the Amazon App store somehow restart itself. I've never had a problem just closing it out. Just curious, but why would you need to force close it in the first place?

Never had to reboot for a memory shortage problem, but my random reboots limit the testing time. I once tried overloading the phone to see if a memory shortage was the cause of the reboots. I opened a few games (I assume these are more memory intensive), some other programs, and 10 tabs in the browser. No reboots, no crashes. The browser just cleared the non-active tabs and reloaded them when I switched back to one.

I don't remember the last time I rebooted my Q10 (other than the 10.2.1.3253 update that we got from VZ on July 22, 2014).

Maybe 3 days. Then it either needs a reboot for one reason or another or it has a random reboot by then. The PlayBook definitely was able to last longer between reboots (at least mine)

Mine is smart enough to reboot it's self if it needs it......

I assume this is just a 10.3 bug, but back on 10.2.1 it was a very rare occasion and usually an issue with an Android Runtime and apps not loading.
