I'm getting the famous camera shutter sound, and keypad sounds when I dail. How do I get rid of it without having to put my phone on silent.

The shutter only goes silent when the volume is at 0. I'm not sure about the keyboard. Probably under the keyboard settings.

Lots of apps that will let you toggle it at will for picture and video.. Maybe some Android or native that are even free..

You can toggle off all notifications too for a quick shot then turn it back on when done shooting.

That doesn't work. Mine is on vibrate and the shutter still sounds. I have Spycam Extreme and it allows you to shoot with no shutter sound. It is an odd program but it works at full resolution and not just a screen grab.

Well when you toggle from the quick settings pulled down, just toggle it from Normal to Silent then snap then toggle it back to Normal. At least that way it's baked in and no external app required.
