Almost half of my contacts got deleted without my notice in my BlackBerry Z30.. I didn't have a backup. Is there any way to get them back as they are very important ones.

Had you synced any of your email accounts contacts eg synced your phone Gmail contacts on your device with Web gmail?

Have you ever used BlackBerry Link to back up your device? You can selectively restore the contacts back if you have.

But, that may over write some of the newer contacts.

Just a thought, go into Contacts, settings and make sure that you've got the various account options turned on.

Before you go to far, you should export the contacts that you DO have. Pick up a cheap application like contactsIMEX, and export a copy of your contacts list to the SD card.

Just cause it would be a real shame if you accidentally deleted the contact you had, while trying to restore the old ones.

I have done it in my friend's laptop but he sold it out few days back... can I restore them from another laptop assuming the backup data will be stored in cloud?

Ah no, the Link backup is to your own hard drive only.

Did you check your Contacts settings?

Another thought, Contacts on my Classic has this side bar menu as shown in pic.

    Is 'All' shown in yours?

I have tried everything including what you have shown, nothing helped.. contacts got deleted for sure.
    Whom should I blame now!!
Myself for not having a proper Backup or BB10 for deleting my contacts. !!

OP was asking whom to blame. Having a backup is good, but contacts should've never gone missing by itself in the first place.
