    Been using BB10 since March 2013. You'd think I'd know this by now.

    Certain words will have an underline and a way to add to dictionary. Or even flick it from the space bar.

    My word is "Christ". Which says Christmas no matter what I do. Then I back up and usually have to go through 5 minutes of playing with it.

    It never learns that word. I can't find a manual list to add to.

    Any suggestions? I assume this would affect other people too.

    I don't see a way to change what your experiencing, but perhaps a Word Substitution would get around it and maybe even save time.

    Under Prediction and Correction, look for Word Substitution. You could add a shortcut like chr that would substitute in the word you want.

    There's also the option to Edit Personal Dictionary under Spell Check section, but I'm not sure that would fix this problem.

    Go into Settings : Language and Input : Prediction and Correction : Word Substitution.

    Add Shortcut and under original word type "Christ" and under new word type "Christ". That should do it for you.

    I was going to suggest the word substitution as well. Otherwise, I haven't found a way around the non-learning of words either. My biggest frustrating word is ok, it always want's to capitalize it (OK).

    Hey thanks a lot guys! I forgot about word substitution. That should work.

    I was only thinking in terms of the predictive / auto correcting text.

    Where they have "clear learned words" would be nice to have an "edit learned words" option.

    But again, appreciate your help - I knew someone would have a work around.

    To add an underlined word to the dictionary just tap on it and then select the "add to dictionary" button from the pop-up.

    Doggerz - FYI my favorite Word Sub trick is to use a type of "double tap" or "triple tap" shorthand:

    bbr = Baton Rouge
    nno = New Orleans
    jjc = Jesus Christ
    jjj = Jesus
    gg = God
    hhf = Heavenly Father

    Makes the keystrokes faster and less likely to create entry errors, they're very short and your thumbs don't have to travel as much on the keyboard.
