If you have a computer and LINK, just use it to reinstall the OS. It installs only the latest official version for your device.

But you most likely will not be able to restore (at least not easily).

No need to soft brick, just use the autoloader to load up the official OS release

Are you referring to using an autoloader or something else? I'm curious how this works too.

Yeah it was posted via my Q10.

The easiest way to downgrade is to use an autoloader for the version you wish to revert to. Treating it as one would an autoloader upgrade (i.e. security wiping, not betting the farm on the backup, etc.) is the cleanest and safest method.

To get an old autoloader, one can search the forums (if it was leaked, which only means that it's exactly the same files as the carriers have, but released earlier), create an autoloader with Sachesi (break open the two debrick bar files for your target version and make an autoloader), or simply ask. Some people, myself included, hoard autoloaders.

Could you explain a bit how to do this?

Okay, I need to downgrade from 10.2.1.1055 to get my Q10 to format my new 64gb microSDXC card. I cannot format it any other way. I am currently performing a security wipe on said version. I have a folder of 10.2.0.429 (I know the number differences --SW vs OS, forgot OS number though) I downloaded using Sachesi. Can I make an autoloader with this folder? If so, how? I guess, which two debrick bar files are needed, and should I use Darcy's tools?

    Thanks.

--p.s. unless you know of a way I can format this new SD card w/o downgrading?

Have you tried formatting the SD to FAT32 within Windows? How To Format A Large Hard Drive With Either FAT Or FAT32

And to make an autoloader, you need the radio bar (for a Q10 on 10.2.0.429, qc8960.wtr-10.2.0.1804-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar) and the OS debrick bar (qc8960.factory_sfi.desktop-10.2.0.1803-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar). Drag each bar onto Darcy's Tools, click Extract BAR, find the two .signed files it spits out and combine them into an autoloader with Darcy's Tools.

    Or, download this one: http://l.bitcasa.com/Vi4iJMNb

So I built the autoloader and flashed my Q10. Everything seemed good, then I waited 1 hour, and two hours, all the while the BlackBerry logo sat at 100%. I had to give up and reload the 10.2.1.1055 leak. It was up and I completed the setup in less than 25 minutes.

I lost my SD adapter for my PC. So I need to be able to format using my Q10.

How long do I need to wait at the BlackBerry logo? All night?

    Hello,
i created the autoloader using the two .signed files, using Sachesi-10.2.0.415-rom.
Now the loader is about 371mb.

The Sachesi-rom-folder is about 1GB size.

What shall i do now to do the downgrade the right way? (dont wonna brick my phone )

The autoloader shouldn't be that small. You need to set Sachesi to debrick mode; if you click Grab Links, it's many files when set to Upgrade but only two files when set to Debrick.

I can't seem to find the stock Verizon Z30 release (STA100-3) so I can downgrade from 10.2.1.1055 to double check on bugs (USB OTG). I know it isn't 10.2.0.1803 because I have tried that. Releases further back than that are buried in the forum but it doesn't help that I don't know what version I am looking for (Sachesi wont give the info for whatever reason). Link fails EVERY time when trying to reload factory software from soft brick (always, always worked with Z10 STL100-4).

I can't seem to find Verizon's Z30 OS (10.2.0.1233) on the production servers. It's either obfuscated or just not there; why, I don't know.

Leave it to Verizon to make a mess of things...as usual. If you do manage to locate it before the next link, can you PM me?

I downgraded back to official TMO 10.1 on my Q10 from leaked 10.2.1. Although 10.2.1 ran almost flawlessly, I ran into a problem syncing my BES contacts which was a deal breaker for me.

A special thanks to habs_fan for his helpful how to located here: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...ier-os-836949/

For most, 10.2.1 will probably run just fine, but having my hosted BES running smoothly is more important than the latest OS; but it was fun testing it out.

I have the same problem. Have you been able to rollback to the original OS? I want to do the same thing. I'm having issues with texting and BBM Video.

Great (?) news, 10.2.0.1233 is on the servers now. I made some autoloaders.

Ok this may be a silly question but what the hell...

If you are on a leaked OS and wish to upgrade (not downgrade) to a newer official OS say if a 10.2.2 was to be released, do you need to do so via an autoloader or could you just upgrade as normal either through link or OTA?

    Thanks
