I don't know about you, but I find Blackberry Link almost useless. How do any of you back up your device on your computer (Windows) without using Blackberry Link?

The only thing I back up is my contacts through an app called contact X. I usually install everything else like new.

    Contact X for contacts.
    Box for important files.
Link to Mac for all else. Never had an issue.

I dont. All my contacts and calendars are synced with my hotmail account. Documents/files are synced with Evernote, and txts with SMS backup. If I install a new OS I set everything up from scratch, and re download all my apps.

I backup/restore (very quickly) using Sachesi! It offers the same options App Data, Media, Settings as BB Link. Very simple to use, and it also handles all my side-loading needs.

    Contacts/Calendar on Outlook.
    Media on iTunes.
    Apps on BlackBerry World.
    Sideloads reloaded via Chrome extension.

The only time consuming one is throwing media on (as it's not on an SD for me heh).

I use link too it's working fine, but if it was able to back specific categories that we chose such as contacts, calenders, and memos rather than backing up settings in general that would be great

I use link every monday, nornmally takes a while to recognise itself, then the phone, then connect to the phone to be Able to back it up, but I'm normally on the computer anyways so isnt too much of a bother! Had a couple of them pre 10.2 that were Really quick!
It does the job, but DM it is not!
