I brought Contacts to my Q10 from my Bold 9900 by 'switch device'. When I search a contact, by firstname or lastname or Company, I get my search results all right. On Bold I could search firstname/lastname (space) companyname, I would get those contacts that match company AND firstname/lastname.
This functionality is essential for me (and many people) because I have over 5000 contacts and many names are common or repeat.
I found that on Q10, if I search 'Firstname/lastname+company' I get the desired result. Further, I added a new contact 'Bill Gates' with company 'Microsoft'. When I did the search 'Bill+Microsoft', the result showed none. 'Gates+microsoft' also nil result.
Can somebody answer whether only contacts transferred from Bold enabled the '+' string, or something else? This '+' string was a beautiful pleasant surprise. I waited for 2 days in case some indexing was to take place. But, again no result for Bill+Gates.
EDIT: I must add that the first string uses or needs full field (e.g. Bill not Bil), the second field works also with beginning characters of second field (e.g. microso)

I agree this sounds like a problem. What OS build are you on?
