    Morning All,

    Question asking help from members here. My Z10 tells me my software is the latest version but seems it isnt. I have version software - 10.0.9.2372 but seems there is a later version.

    Can someone tell me how I can update the software on the Z10 to the latest version as I want to instal the Whatsapp software and it needs latest version to be installed. Thanks for the help.

    On the main page....swipe down, select settings.....on the systems setting menu, select software update......then select "check for updates".......it will respond with either, download latest software or you have the latest software.

    First of all, which network/carrier are you with??. They may have not pushed the update out to you yet. It all depends on whether your network/carrier is carrying the Z10, if they arent then the chances of you getting it will hinder on when your carrier/network gets it.

    The other way to do it is if you have an unlocked phone ie unlocked to all networks. Then you can just get a sim from a network who has already pushed the update. For example my Z10 is unlocked but im with Tmobile UK, up until a few days ago they didnt have any idea regarding an update so i just put a voda UK sim in my phone and installed the update.

    So perhaps its worth looking into that, to check if your phone is unlocked...go into settings, then go into security/privacy, then go into sim card and at the bottom if its unlocked for all 3 then your phone is unlocked ie under phone network lock, it should say unlocked for each heading.

    Yes its because your network hasnt pushed the update out to your phone.

    What network are you with and where are you located?? That would help us to figure out why you havent got the latest update.

    Go to blackberry.com/update on a pc and plug your phone into a pc via usb. It will update your phone to the latest OS from there. I've done it from my unlocked Z10.

    It says latest version because It is the latest version pushed by your carrier. Yes it is easy to manually update the OS. But It is actually not easy for average user to do it. I don't understand why the OS updating has to be complicated. It creates lot of confusion for non-BBRY techie users. I wish Blackberry handles this well in the future.

    It also depends what model Z10 ( STL 100-1 or STL 100-2). Who has a STL 100-2! and what country are you from!

    My carrier says they have the update but they say they are 'testing it' lol.

    Shouldn't BlackBerry testing it be enough lol!!

    I just tried to upgrade a phone today & it's not working. I'm with Bell. Last week I did 6 of them & it worked fine, now today its gone.
