    I'm on Blackberry 10.3, on a Classic.

I want to have Gmail's calendar sync with my BB Calendar. I even want event and task notifications.

But I have another calendar on my Gmail that has recurring events that I'm not really worried about. This occur pretty much weekly, I know about them and I NEVER want my phone to remind me. I don't want to delete or remove this calendar from my list of Google calendars yet.

I've tried going to to "Manage" under the calendar app and hiding the unwanted calendar. This is great for the calendar app, but I still get the notification on the lock screen, and it still shows up in the BB Hub. I verified that the calendar is hidden on Google, and set to give no notifications.

I tried deleting (plus deleting all local calendar events) and re-adding the calendar account after having verified that the calendar was hidden. I went through the calendar app to "Settings" -> "General" and turned meeting reminder and all day meeting reminder off (even though that may not be ideal).

In all cases, the notification still show up on lock screen/hub.

Any way to set this up correctly? If not, is there at least a way to quickly and easy dismiss the notifications each time they show up?

If you don't want a specific calendar that is associated with your Gmail account to sync to your device at all, you have to make the adjustment at the Gmail/G-cal end. Go to https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect and log in. You'll see all the calendars associated with the account. Uncheck the one(s) you don't want to appear then save and exit. Reboot your device to force the re-sync. That should do it.
