    i have just updated my blackberry z1o to os :10.2.1.3442 and have 4 apps whatsapp,hike,telegram ,true caller acquiring 25 mb approx on total . but still my phone memory is acquire 5.2 gb out of 12 gb . i have no sd card but still it is quite large . i do clear cache from browser also . i am unable to understand why it is happening so .please help

    If deleting the apps themselves does not clear their respective caches, then the only real option you would have is to wipe the device. I agree though, BlackBerry really should implement a separate partitions for apps and data when the user could theoretically wipe the data partition allowing the user to clean the crud without having to reinstall all the crud.

    Take a look at device manager and post the screen shot.

    Use Chrome Browser to delete all unnecessary language, nuance and retaildemo files...Leave one language (eng or french or whatever you speak) plus "root" in the language group.
    In the nuance do the same and leave English plus "common"...
    There is a list here someone made on all the files they deleted to "trim down".
    "Streamline your new os and get rid of the flab"...or something like that..
    Search in "Leaked os" section

    Your inquiry is completely normal. No matter which memory card or hard drive you buy you will never have the full 16GB, 64GB, 500GB... due to system files and then you have the OS size.

    Buy a good 64GB from amazon or a local store if it's on sale.
