I'm using the canon print app which downloaded from the google store. It works pretty well except when it scans the document. The scanned documents are automatically saved in folder /mnt/sdcard/CanonIJ with no permission to open, hence it's pointless to scan anything.

You may be better off checking the permissions of the app itself that it has Storage Permission.
    Settings + Apps + [canonlj].
While in the App info section tap Permissions, make sure Storage is ticked.

Go back and start the app (hopefully there are settings to change the storage location and that it prompts you when you choose your SD CARD).

    Hope this helps.
