Someone emailed me there 7 digit phone number, I live in a 10 digit calling area so I have copied their phone number, but when I go to the phone app and type their area code and then paste, it pastes over top of the area code!

Is the only way to do this to either remember their phone number, or paste into a remember note?

Just add it to Contacts and edit it there

Just hold the digits, you will getting copy & paste option or selection options.

It sounds like they have that part pretty well figured out, haha

Tsk tsk.... You know you shouldn't be using your device while driving. Maybe they'll add the ability to add contacts to Virtual Assistant. That would be cool

Here is a kicker! You can't edit a phone number on Dial Pad screen nor SMS screen once you punch it in. Weak.

Lifes a risk, never leave the house if you always want to be safe.

Exactly, this is the true problem! What sort of a joke is that? Are there other phone apps? Do android phone apps work?

In legacy OS7 you could do what you are asking for. You could paste the number besides the initial typed area code.

    BlackBerry OS10 replaces the number.

This type of problem has been discussed before and there are only painful workarounds that make the use of the phone very improductive.

This is another example of how Blackberry threw away years of experience by not taking into account how OS7 worked when building OS10.
