depends on what support you are talking about. Im very sure that 1/1/20 there will be changes and some services will probably not work. Your phone should be able to make calls text and email though.

TCL or partner branded phones; maybe. Blackberry is done with phones. That strategy is starting to pay off.

Yes, despite it being the world's least secure Internet service of any kind, lots of people still do.

I'd sooner enter my bank account information on a Russian porn site then trust Yahoo. But then, Yahoo spends less on its email service annually than BB spends on an executive team lunch.

Better yet. Just email the information to me at my Yahoo! Email just for this purpose....

People are lazy and/or it's too inconvenient to change from old services. Back when Yahoo was reasonable (years ago), lots of people signed up and now, even though many realize it is unreliable and risky, it's just too much trouble to drop and have to tell all their contacts to use something else. Security and reliability be-damned.

I'm more nostalgic than lazy. I've since switched from Yahoo eMail to Gmail, which isn't much better, I know. But Yahoo was my first EVER email. It was hard to let go.

I've reread title. Since BB announced 12/31/2019 as EOL date, I'm not very confident to end of 2020 as title asks..

I expect all support to end next year....

At that point I doubt there will be anyone left to handle something like this Yahoo/Rogers email issue.... but CrackBerry will still be here.

Arguably, BlackBerry support has already ended and BB10 is just running off of whatever servers haven't been re-allocated yet.

oh, and while I'm sure any "free" email comes at a cost.... while I have Yahoo and Gmail account (for junk). My main personal account is Outlook.com.... there are free version, but I do an office subscription and there is an option that includes a hosted account.

I used all with my Z10.... I'm using a work provided Galaxy S7 right now. BB10 was given up long ago as not meeting my needs, and I'm not into dual carrying.

What will you do when your Passport's OS 10 gives up, eventually? I'm anxious for more life for my precious Q10 (!), with Google Play Store, WhatsApp and a few Android Apps on 2GB RAM, 16 GB Storage, multitasking and security for sure, a big help from a small phone.

Actually I've been really annoyed at how we get glued to our phone so much so I have been looking at old sybian phone ones possibly some that may support 3G. I miss the days that the phone took so little space in our pockets and provided calls, email, text and music with minimal pictures. We actually talked to the people next to us and made connections of the old kind.
    Those were the days.

Well, when it finally gives up the ghost, and as Blackberry has decided not to make replacements for either the Passport or the Q, then it will be a different manufacturer....

What are you expecting? BlackBerry already stated they’ve exited the hardware business. The last PKB hardware design from BlackBerry was the KEYone and that would have been a “Q” series. The successors Key2 and Key2 LE are the closest you’ll get from a different manufacturer. At this point, you should probably start looking...

Very informative, Thanks for sharing. I've a strong preference for my Q10 successor to be the KeyOne Limited Black Edition, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM, SD 625 at current price (watching). The ideal phone seems to be the Key2 Black, 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM, SD 660 with enhanced features to the KeyOne.

I’d swing for the fences with the Key2 for the extra RAM and newer SOC which is supposed to be significantly faster. I’d look to some of the current owners for objectivity and guidance if they’ve owned both. My AT&T KEYone is only 3/32 and I plan on using for just another year. I see 4/64 as minimum standard now and expect that only usable for two more years.

Thanks, you're right on many accounts: user experience, Quantum performance chipsets, handset design, LTE download speed. The prospective Key3 (2019) with a newer process (10 nm) SD 710 has many advanced features, coupled with a higher GPU, comparative to the Key2 SD 660: overall faster, faster at web browsing, faster at launching apps and will add to our array of choices. Cheers!

Not sure where you’re getting any specs on Key3. As far as I’ve seen, no credible leaks for anything past the already released Key2 LE for now.
