Hey everyone,
I decided to swap my Z10 for a Q10. I plan on keeping my Z10 just for a spare phone. How can I transfer only my contacts and text messages to my Q10? I don't want the other data from the Z10 transferred (like website data, because for some reason sites like Walmart won't load). Thanks!!

Ack, that's one of the things BlackBerry didn't quite get at yet when building BB10.

....

Make a full backup of you Z10 (full backup of your stuff).

Delete everything you don't want moved to the Q10 from the Z10.

Backup the Z10 (new backup with just the things you want moved).

Load the backup on the Q10.


That's the best I can think of. ;/

If you are looking for alternatives to Link, you could also use Bluetooth to transfer your contacts and a third party SMS backup/restore application would help with the text messages.

If you want to use link you will have to grab BlackBerry Link 10.2 (There is a leak around here somewhere)
10.2 allows selective Backup & Restore
