    Hi,

I am an unhappy owner of a broken OnePlus One (Runs Android Lollipop). I have decided that learning a new OS : Blackberry would be a very good idea.

However, I just ordered a Blackberry Passport but I am also the owner of an LG G Watch R (runs Android Wear Lollipop 5.0.1).

Please tell me my watch isn't a garbage now :O

PS : I am aware of Snap, and sideloading Android apps etc.. but what about Android Wear 1.5 or higher?

Passport runs android 4.3... can android wear connect with a 4.3 device?

Should work on Android 4.3 however, I believe it does use Google Play Services to communicate

Swap your G Watch for a Pebble /w Talk2Watch app, Android Wear requires Google Play Services which are not part of BB10 runtime.

Might bypass the Google service requirement by doing that but still doesn't guarantee to work.

I've been trying to find a solution for over a week since I picked up a Q10 (I want it to work with my Moto 360), but as far as I can tell, it's just not possible.

Hopefully that will change in the future, but right now the Google Services hacks just aren't successful.

Even if it is successful. Google may block us eventually

Maybe, but I'd be surprised. Google tends to take an open approach to things like this. Also, Android Wear support on another platform only leads to more Android Wear users and more sales.
