I just nabbed a 1.32 GB file from my desktop at home to my Surface at work. I didn't think this was possible, as I remember moving large files on my BlackBerry 10 phone has been restricted to a small file size. Apparently this restriction does not exist for PC to PC transfers. Hurrah!

I use RFA all the time. The largest file I copied was almost 2GB. No problem.
How long did that take? RFA for large file sizes transfers are too slow for me.

Seemed to move at roughly 1 MB/sec. The only unfortunate thing is that the remote file first syncs to your phone en route to the other remote machine. PC to phone is a relatively short trip, PC to PC is longer - might be beneficial to simply transfer the file to your phone and use it on your nearby machine with your phone as a USB or network drive.
