Is there a way to make a shortcut on homescreen to a photo folder/album? I have three shortcut apps, but none will give me a shortcut to a photo album. Only one photo

No, it says folder, but doesnt work. And that means both apps. I contacted developer and said cant make shortcut of folder

When you go into to select folder it opens folder and only allows one to pic a file.

Shortcut creator definitely can make a shortcut to a FOLDER and show all the photos within that folder, I know that because I use the app all the time for photos, music and files plus contacts and applications

And I cant add a new folder to device storage.

    Open shortcut creator.
    Shortcut type is folder.
Next you get the option to browse to the folder you want and select a pic within the folder.
Next you can select the icon that you want, I just leave the default. Jpg icon.
    Then tap create shortcut.

That should create a short cut on your homescreen.

In order to give you the instructions, I just created a shortcut to a folder of pictures on my sd card. And it works and I have the latest shortcut creator update.
    Give it a go

You can make a folder to Device but SDCard does not work.

Since OS10.2 shortcut to sd card folder doesn't work. Either this is a bug in OS10.2+ or BlackBerry just don't allow this.

Have not tried on OS10.3 yet.

FWIW, I tried creating a shortcut to a folder on SD card on 10.3 and it doesn't work either.

    This is for Toysoft's app.

With Toysoft's app, once you open a folder, just select a file. The shortcut will be made for the folder. And, yeah, it's limited to device folders.

That's weird because I think I'm running 10.2.1.2141, but I'm on a Z30. I was able to pin both device & SD folders for my BlackBerry Q10 in the past though (but I'm not sure on the software version).

I also don't get what you mean "But is there a way to make folder on device"?
Are you asking how to create a new folder using the phone's storage (and not the SD card)? If so you open file manager, open a folder (examples: camera folder, music folder, documents folder, voice folder, etc) and then hit the 3 dots on the right hand side. It gives you the option to add a folder.

As far as pinning a folder from either the SD card and/or device, "Docu Shortcut" won't let you select a folder. You can pin the folder, but you do it by going in the folder you want, select a file in that folder, and it associates that file with the folder. So if you're in pictures folder and you have a sub-folder titled "Wallpapers", just click on a wallpaper file and it will pin the Wallpaper folder.

What if I want to add a new folder on device, and not inside a folder already there?

Yes I have tried the select a photo in the apps to make a folder shortcut, as I stated above. But when I go to open the shortcut made, it doesnt open anything.

I've found that the only way to add a folder to the root of the device (which I think you're referring to) is to do so from your PC on the mapped drive when connected via USB.
