Newbie here!! I've few BBs (Classic, Q10, Z10) that are stuck on the blackberry logo. I updated the software with link and tried removing the bb id or bypass the blackberry protect screen by using the auoloader 10.3.2 but it gets stuck on the blackberry logo.

This process used to work for me in the past until this month. Does anyone have a solution to bypass the bb id/protect screen on the new OS 10.3.3?

I downloaded the 10.3.3 autoloader posted on this website but didnt work either. It just reloads the phone same as blackberry link. Please help.

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to CrackBerry!

Which 10.3.3.x autoloader for which device?

Do you mean it won't install, or that it installs, then hangs after restarting?

You can't bypass the BBID login. You must login with the BBID for the phone registered with BlackBerry Protect or any BBID if BlackBerry Protect was switched off prior to the OS update/reload. Also note that you can't downgrade OS 10.3.3 to 10.3.2 or earlier.

You can't do what you're trying to do with 10.3.2 or 10.3.3. It's called theft protection for a reason.

BlackBerry implemented that with early 10.3.2 builds. Once loaded, it blocks the ability to load an older OS, like 10.3.1 or earlier that did allow you to bypass whatever BBID was previously used on the phone. It writes the block-list to NVRAM on the device and can't be accessed by the user.

To remove the BBID, you have know what the current BBID is, turn protect off, go to the protect website with the same BBID, remove the phone from there, then you can create a new BBID.

    Hi,
If your device is still on 10.3.2, you still can bypass BB protection. However, if you already loaded OS 10.3.3 on your device, there is no way to bypass anymore.

    You can't on 10.3.2 either.

I believe you can bypass 10.3.2. I was able to bypass successfully on 10.3.2 but no success on this new 10.3.3 using autoloader. Note that you can still remove 10.3.3 protect via Chimera software. However, it cost about 10$ to remove...

Is there a way I can reload 10.3.2 using bb Link? Looks like Link automatically reload all OS to 10.3.3. If not, does anyone know any other way to reload 10.3.2 on bbs?

Once on 10.3.2, you can't go back to 10.3.1 or prior.

Once on 10.3.3, you can't go back to 10.3.2 or prior.

It doesn't matter what you do - Link, autoloader, or Voodoo.

I tried the autoloader for classic. It installed but hangs after restarting. I had to reload via bb link to get it to full restart. However, the bb id/protect issue was still there.

Chimera was able to remove though. Looking for a way to bypass with autoloader to avoid paying for 10-12$ for it!

I'm curious. Is there really software (paid or otherwise) available to bypass BlackBerry Protect? If so, why hasn't CrackBerry reported on this?
I would have thought the media would be all over it.

No, there is not. A while back someone was posting a method to do this but it has been debunked by others on CB.

    Hi there everyone.

First time posting since this is the first time i own a BB...
I got a BB Classic recently for free due to an exchange program that happened in the store i work (people gave their old phone in exchange for a discount on a new one). Guess where this one came from?

Well, since the old one go for recicling we usually offer them for someone who wants/needs a replacemente if they are ok and so i got my hands on this one...

It had the 10.3.3 software installed and it had the account from the previous owner installed. since i didnt want any problems, i factory wiped it but didnt knew there was this BB protect thingy... and i got in touch with it really fast! ... the weird thing is that i (somehow!) was able to bypass it!!!!!

I read in various forum's that after installing 10.2.x or newer it wasn't possible to downgrade but i tried it still. no luck with an autoloader... people talked about an app called "chimera tool" and that we needed 95 credits (10€ cost) but that´s not the case... you need to buy the app license first (59€ best price!)...
They announce to remove the BB protect but in some forum's most people complain that they are unable to do so and are asking constantly for refunds!!

So... what have i done (and i need people to try it... like i said.. i don't know how exactly this happened!!) ?

First, i installed BB Link and tried to restore the firmware again (Reload) and it gave me an error in the process - A:0x000000A2.

After that i tried to install again the 10.3.3 using autoloader and it completed with success but BB Protect was still there (of course)...

After that i installed the Chimera Trial and used their downgrade solution and installed the 10.3.1.2744 firmware... when it finished i had the blinking red led...

Again with Chimera, after 3 hours, i installed 10.3.2.2876... i continued with a dead phone and a blinking red led...

I tried to use the 10.3.2.0876 autoloader but no go with the error "OS is locked for this device" or something like that...

I gave up at this point... downloaded the 10.3.3.2205 autoloader.... installed it... phone booted up... the language setting menu came up and i didn't ever changed the language, skipped the SIM card message (no SIM inserted), and in the step to choose wireless network usually there was no option to skip... but this time there was!!!!! skipped everything... voilá!!! phone working!!! created a BB id and voilá! after that i went to BB protect, disabled it, full wipe the phone to start over just to be sure it worked! And it did... for some sort of miracle!!

Can someone try this and see if it works?? i know this is something completely strange but it did happen... :|

My computer OS is Windows 10 by the way... don't know if it matters for this process.

PS: sorry for my english but it´s not my native language...

Hello infectedm, you save me but I spent 2 days to solve this issue.
Sorry for my bad English as it is not my native language.
Like you, I can't describe exactly process I go through.
I got this phone from my grandpa who didn't remind his old yahoo account linked to his BB Classic.
In my case, the software was 3.2.2.2876 with blackberry protect, so I can't use it.
Once thing that work is Blackberry 10.3.2 dev autoloader. You can use 10.3.3.3 autoloader if you version is 10.3.3, but you can't use it 10.3.2 Dev version on 10.3.3.

I installed 10.3.2 DEV autoloader and can use the phone in dev mode. With dev mode, you can't install or sync your phone. You can only use it as dumb phone, and some basic tasks.
I used normal autoloaders but only 3.2.2.2876 or above can work.
I used CHIMERA to downgrade to OEM version 10.3.1.2072 but no way as it is not possible on version 10.3.2 and 10.3.3 to do it. You can only get red light blinking.
I tried most of time to downgrade, upgrade, using Dev autoloader, the anti-theft still there.
With CHIMERA TRIAL, I decided to upgraded to 10.3.3.0746, once again, I can't pass Anti-theft. I decided again to install Dev 10.2.2 version but I can't access to screen as previously, only red led. So I decided again to use CHIMERA to downgrade to 10.3.2.2888 with red led blinking again. I decided to upgraded to 10.3.3.2049 through normal autoloader. Phone switched on; I skipped language and other settings but blocked at ID level. Here, I just pressed menu, return, track, end keys and suddenly, home screen appeared. I bypassed anti-theft step. I checked in setting and noticed that I can't create or use my ID; when tried, it said Anti-theft is On. I decided to switch phone off and after, switched it on. I manipulated in the same way to access to home screen. Tried again to enter my ID. This time, it worked.
I can't described exactly How I managed to bypass. I think as said here, we can do it trying many times with autoloaders and CHIMERA.

I read this trick to bypass the antitheft, please give it a try:
    1. When be asked for the bbid of previous owner, use our bbid but with wrong password.
    2. Turn off the phone immediately.
    3. Restart the phone and enjoy the fail of antitheft feature.

I've heard that the Chimera tool can work - but since the data is wiped in the process, there is no security issue with regards to your personal data.

Thanks Conite. The procedure seems random, I think the iterative procedure described above may be tied to some count, i.e., do it enough times and bbid is unlocked.
