I have my screen set to sleep and lock after 30s for security and battery life.

But sometimes I'm using/reading the screen and it begins to darken while I'm still using it which requires me to tap to keep alive. The auto keep awake feature of the OS is either always on or always off... and I find when always on it keeps alive too often in my pocket/desk and drains battery.

I want to hold down a Hotkey and have this execute a timed period of keep alive. Hold K and it keeps screen alive for 5m or 10m or whatever. Then it goes back to sleeping after 30s default when period is over.

Probably a headless app could do this too?

Check out an app in Blackberry World named Screen Timeout - I used it on my Z10 and it works great.
