Ever since I've upgraded my Z30 STA100-5 to 10.3.1.1016, I've noticed certain days when my battery drains almost twice as fast as it would normally. I started checking the Device Monitor and discovered a single service, "Payment Options" using large chunks of CPU power constantly throughout a period of time. This in turn corresponded to a very high rate of battery drain. I've attempted to close this program, but it appears it can't be closed. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have a fix? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Is there a difference between resetting it with the volume buttons and resetting it by holding the screen lock button?

load the leak 10.3.1.1151 OS on your Z30. Problem fixed. 10.3.1.1016 is trash so you get trash performance on your phone.

I'm planning on it, just haven't had the time. Until I do, I was just curious if anyone else had this issue on 1016 and if they did, what they did to fix it.

I know it sounds crazy, but turn off the mobile network, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. It fixes it for me.

My guess is that the restore data is at fault.

I had the same issue EVERY TIME that I tried 10.3.1. My CPU was just crazy all day long, with crazy battery drain. Even when I was sleeping and not using the phone. I haven't tried the most recent leak, but I may give it a try again.

Are you restoring a backup from an older 10.3.0 or 10.2.1 os?...if so that may be your problem.
I would try not restoring but starting fresh.

So "hard" resetting the phone (volume key reset) seems to fix the problem... for the day. Every morning after I take it off the charger and head to work, I notice that the mysterious "Payment Options" service is back at the top of my CPU usage list. I guess I'm just going to have to suck it up until I can find time to upgrade to the new, more stable leak. I just wish there was a real fix for this problem, I haven't had any other issues with 1016.

And in case anyone was wondering, I upgraded to 1016 via Sachesi, so I did not restore any data, but it was also not a fresh autoloader install.

Maybe just attempt a security wipe since you don't have the time to install new OS.

If not, I'd suggest a full wipe before or after installing new OS. And don't use any backups as it may backup/restore the issue your having.

Same here but with a SQN-1. Battery life has been wayyyy worse on every 10.3.1 I've tried than the last 10.3.0 I had. The drain while idle is weird.

I had this problem with every 10.3.1 leak I tried on my Q10, even the latest one (1154). The setup process is always already painfully slow and cpu usage stays abnormal high >50%. I tried several things and nothing fixed it:
-used multiwipe tool
-tried with or without inserted sim card
-used only wlan
-didn't load a backup

Its really strange because I had no trouble at all for at least a month with 1154 on my Z30 loaded with the Blitz file. I even put it on my wife's phone last week for the Blend Update. I tried wiping my phone yesterday and restoring without a backup to start fresh. So I will see if that changes things for me. I hate the thought of what is going to happen if her phone starts giving me trouble! Come-on updates!

i've got the same problem with it using 16% cpu on my passport..thats alotta cpu!

been keeping an eye on battery life and the biggest drains...this one just cropped up and i've been running 1154 for a few days now.

I realized I was in 'battery saving mode' (0% batt as I write this)
putting into normal mode the cpu usage jumped up to 20 and then settled at 18%. I tried airplane mode for a minute or so, that did nothing.

a hard reset banished the process. launching bbw brought it back only for a second, and only at 0.7% cpu, then it vanished again.

there must be a bug that sends it for a loop.

I will post a follow-up if it returns. prior to this runaway process killing my phone I was at 34hrs battery time with moderate use..

The interesting thing about mine was my mobile data showed 500+ megs out and about the same amount in. So I checked with my carrier and sure enough a little over a gig of data that day. I wiped and reinstalled 10.3.1.1154 with an autoloader without restoring any backups. So far so good.
