I spoke with t-mobile BB tech support a few days ago, and they told me that they had just been told officially that t-mobile will NOT be providing ANY software updates to blackberry devices. So we're all on our own to download new versions from sites such as crackberry.com.

T-Mobile - if you're not going to provide us with any more updates, you could at least inform Blackberry so that they can move our IMEI numbers onto the list of "factory unlocked" so we can easily get updates direct from Blackberry!!!

This is what a true UnCarrier would do for their beloved customers!

I doubt you'll get the updates direct from BlackBerry. I have a factory unlocked BlackBerry Q5 and I still have to download leaks.

And considering BlackBerry severed ties with T-Mobile months ago, this isn't really surprising.
