    Hey guys

I can understand all your struggle to search, sideload and test those heavy android apps on on your bb10 devices and you will end up with uninstal them due to one of the below reasons

    1. They are laggy
    2. They wont work on bb10
    3. No hub notifications
    4. Power hungry and battery drain

We all know that development of bb10 is almost stopped. Very few devs like nemory are still spending some time. What is the best of bb10 devices. It is nothing but browser. Awesome super smooth browser is better than any other android, ios or windows browser

So we can access beautiful mobile version of facebook, twitter, linkedin, instagram or any other social networking site in default browser. Open those websites in bb10 browser and create shortcut of those sites to home. Those shortcuts will be created with beautiful icons as shown below

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_140713.png

Those icons look totally professional. Just access the apps by clicking on those icons in our efficient bb10 browser

Now big question comes.. How to receive hub notifications if you simply access shortcuts without accessing any app..Is it really possible to receive without installing BB10 or android version of app..Answer is yes..you can still get hub notifications instantly..this is what I found..simply follow below instructions to get the notifications

    1. we need to first set up email account using which you set up twitter,fb,linkedin and instagram apps.

Enable email notifications from settings page of facebook and twitter web versions

    Enable facebook notifications

    https://www.facebook.com/settings?ta...ion=email&view
    Attachment 394257

    Enable twitter notifications
    https://twitter.com/settings/notifications
    Attachment 394258

    2. Go to priority hub from hub > settings>priority hub

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141251.png

    3. Click on add rule

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141337.png

    4. For linked in notifications

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141431.png

    5. For twitter notifications

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141510.png

    6. For facebook notifications

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141543.png

    7. Similarly you can do it for instagram and other websites

    8. Now save it and you should able to receive any notification instantly in priority hub as shown below

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141721.png

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141725.png

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141756.png

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141820.png

Here is the way to get best out of BB10..Tutorial-img_20160315_141840.png

    9. That it .. Enjoy the best of bb10.. Get rid of laggy android app and get evrything done with bb10 without installing any app

This can be extended to any social networking site. Not only for fb., twitter, linkedin but can be extended to instagram, crackberry, youtube, vk or any other site. Just add priority for each site

You can also set browsie now/hub browser as default browser so that u need not even switch to browser to open notifications..they will be opened within hub..is it not amazing

If you are using bb7, then priority hub is not supported. However, you can still achieve this as explained below

We can also do this on blackberry 7.1 devices

    Follow below steps

    1. Create gmail account which will be only used for all the notifications.
    2. Login to face book and change email ID
    https://www.facebook.com/settings?ta...ection=email&t
    3. Login to twitter and change email ID
    https://twitter.com/settings/account
    4. Login to linkedin and change email ID
    https://www.linkedin.com/settings/manage-email
    5. Now set up new email account in bb7 devices

Sorry for any mistakes in this post

    Thanks
    Veera

Great help man! I hope other members will take notice of this instead of whining on some threads about non functioning apps.

That's actually a very clever way to get the Notifications, and a way so you can even open them into the Browser!

Now I wonder if there is an easy way to use a dummy email address for these notifications... maybe by having your default email forward them, while archiving/deleting the original so you don't get so much spam in your regular email inbox...

And if you do use a dummy email address these notifications would even get their own personal category in the Hub.

I think mobile websites should be something to work on. Mobile websites can get pretty complex and powerful.

I just found out that you can use the Youtube mobile website to control the Youtube app on your TV.

    Thought that was pretty slick...
