I backed up my device on March 18 before I took the software update (OS patch) last week.

Today I went to delete my twitter notifications in my Hub and didn't realize I was in the General hub and not the twitter one and everything went bye bye
    ....including all my emails.

Will these be in my backup file and should I do a complete restore or is there a way to do a selective restore of just my emails?

Thanks in advance to all that reply.

Your email will be restored by deleting the actual email account from your device, then re-adding it. Anything still on the server will repopulate on your device.

If it's a POP3 account, remember to specify how far back to restore when you re-add it.

Depending on volume of messages, it might take some time to populate. Just be patient and probably leave the phone alone for most part, especially if it's multiple accounts.

Your emails should still be on servers of your provider. You can check them by logging in via browser...

Thank you everyone. Going to do it later when I don't need my device. I appreciate the help.

I did this. I see them all on my laptop. (I use rogers.com for email (yahoo.ca). I deleted the email account from my device and added it backs it's been an hour now and nothing. If I do a full restore from the backup I did last week as noted in my original message will that work?

Restoring backup only helps if account profile was working when creating backup.

Hard to tell what went wrong when adding account to phone.
