On my third day after installing leak. I have no sideloaded apps. I charged completely overnight. Started using my phone at 7am, one phone call through my car, checked emails, text, standard stuff. By 11:45am I was down to 20-30% battery. Before installing this leak my battery would last all day long, at least!!

I just opened my device monitor and it shows "System" presently using 45-75%, and sometimes more, of the CPU. I have no idea what this means. The phone is plugged in charging. I do not have any apps open that I know about. Nothing sideloaded etc.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated,

    John

not sure what's causing it, but my readings on System are between 2% and 6.5% with Blaq open constantly. I'm using 10.2.0.1443, and have seen great improvements with battery life.

Wow, I am not sure what to do now. I might have to go back to the official release from Verizon.

I did. I turned it off, and did a battery pull and then restarted it. I will do it again.

Turn it off and leave it off for a while. Maybe 40 minutes or so. I have seen good results with this.

Do not do batt pulls like the old BlackBerry it's not good for your phone.
Press and the volume up/down at the same time until you see the blue loading icon. Takes about 30 second.
Have you done a security wipe yet. And did you back up via link.

Q10/1443/ Squircle of Trust member ?

I did a backup before I installed the leak. I went straight from official release to 1443. I have not done a security wipe. What is that?

After loading a leak its always good to do a security wipe to get rid of any of the remaining crap from the old OS,
go into security in settings and look for security wipe. It takes about 30 mins so don't get worried.

Also the battery pull subject is in a few of the threads , and they say that doing a straight battery pull could damage your device, and the way that the blackberry workers do it is the way I stated above.

ok, doing security wipe. Then will load back up and then open apps.

Before that I just thought I would connect to Link and restore to factory settings, assuming this would reload the old os, which it did not.

Perhaps someone could take moment and let me know how to get back to the official release in case of emergency? I suppose I need to load a version of the Verizon software for my Q10 that is before the latest official release? Perhaps someone could post a link for me and I will download it and then upgrade to the newest official release please?

If you have a problem just connect to link and reload software it will put the official back on your device.

Thank you guys. I think I will just reload the software. I thought I had done that just now but it was still showing 10.2.1443 in the About section. I will try it again.

My device heats up too from time to time.. I simple reboot usually does the trick.

Reboot from holding the power button down not a battery pull*

Hi all again. First of all, thank you for everyone who responded. I appreciate it. I did the security wipe, etc. Check my cpu usage by system and it was still jumping between 45-113%(sic). I finally, and are in the midst of, restore to factory default. The Link found the latest Verizon OS and is installing it now. Essentially downgrading me to official release. I will then install from backup which was done prior to my installation of the leak.

After installing a new os it takes a bit of time to settle down , don't rush backwards

I was well into the third day after installing the Leak. There was clearly a problem with my install. I might try again once I get everything back to satisfaction with the official release. I really did like 10.2!

Btw, this is the file I used to install on to my Q: 10.2.0.1443_SQN_SQR. I assume it is the correct file for my Verizon Q10.
