Help with mobilehot spot
I have a vodafone uk q10. I unlocked it and using it in denmark with other carrier. I tried to use mobile hotspot and I am getting error. ?cannot use mobile hotspot due to roaming restrictions". I also have a triangle symbol with a R next to the 3g symbol on the top right hand corner.
Please need some suggestions. I tried the sim in another mobile I have no problem with thethring.

You may have to call the customer care of the network. Seems like a network issue

That's means your roaming. Turn it off and see what happens.

How can I turn roaming off? I cannot see any options for that.

Swipe down from top for settings.
Tap mobile network.
Look for Data services while roaming menu.

Yes I see data services, on/off and prompt and I choose on. But still have the problem

Anyone please tell me if they know a solution. Is it possible the carrier can lock something even the mobile is unlocked?

I figured that the carrier put restrictions even I unlocked it, the restrictions are software based tried escreen method but it didn't work. Any sugesstions how to disable the restrictions in the os.

Yeah, the sim card issuer (the carrier) can definitely control the hot spot function on your phone, even if your plan is unlimited and your phone is unlocked, I am ABLE to create a hot spot using my phone even though my carrier has told me that function is not authorised with my data plan, maybe it's an oversight on their part, they've never charged me extra when I use it, so I'm not complaining.

I don't have any problem with the sim in another mobile. It more looks to me that the q10 even though unlocked cannot change something inside the os. I really hope someone who knows might help.
