I just got a Passport and I would like to transfer everything from my Z10 over.

    What is the best way?
    Will everything transfer??
    existing text conversations??
    settings?
    ringtones?
    folders with apps already organized?
    background image?

I am trying to figure out the best way to do this so I don't loose info or leave it behind.

I don't mind doing settings again, I just want to know what to expect to transfer over and what has to be done again.

My main concern is really text conversations carrying over.

    Please help!

Download Device Switch on both your devices. I used it to transfer everything from my Z10 to my Passport. You could also use Ultimate backup, but I didn't try it.

Got it done with BB Link.

To anyone wanting help with this:
    1. make sure new BB10 is signed into with a BB ID.
    2. back up old BB10 device
    3. it will restore the back up copy, or you can manually do it and skip the whole 'switch device' function.
    4. it restores EVERYTHING, settings, ringtones, text conversations, everything.
    5. switch your memory card over to fine tune stuff that didn't carry over.

Make sure you back up first!
Make sure you register the new device first!
