Hi all,

I've read a few posts, but struggling to fix this issue.

I installed 10.2.1.3247 on my replacement Z30STA100-3 via an autoloader before restoring from a backup (a 6 hour process)

Now, my android apps don't run. A blue bar starts to advance at the bottom of the screen, but the app doesn't ever open.

I just tried side loading sys.android-10.2.1.155, but still not working.

Can anyone with more technical expertise please suggest the specifics steps to resolve this issue? I really want to avoid wiping the device or using an auto loader, if possible, due to the time it take it takes to complete the whole process.

You only replaced one portion of the Android files needed, seek out the other one (sys.android.shell) and replace it as well. Once loaded, reboot and see if that works. If not, you might be looking at another wipe.

Woo hoo! It appears to be fixed.

1. I installed both 10.2.1.155 files, did a hard reset... didn't work

2. I installed both 10.2.1.9 files, did a hard reset... didn't work

3. I reinstalled both 10.2.1.155 files, did a hard reset... didn't work

4. I reinstalled snap, which wasn't reinstalled since the refresh device...tried a bunch of navigation things and different apps (was testing with Google maps). even seemed like the pointers on the shortcuts were having some issues with the wrong app opening.... but after one or two apps loaded, it now appears to be ok.

So.... long story short, I have no idea what the issue was (and maybe someone more technical than me can make sense out of it), but it appears to be working!!!!

Perhaps this will help someone else in the future. 1 hr was better than spending 6

Did you give the app enough time to start? After hard reset it takes its time until android apps start and sometimes with my newest OTA 10.2.1 I noticed that you have to wait ten seconds if you want to restart an android app. Otherwise it will take the conetxt of the already killed app or takes ages.
And even a few times and had to do a hard reset as the android runtime did not start at all after heavy use.

Thanks Shrekmachine! I thought I had and the apps would not open and ultimately closed themselves. This is great to know for the future, and I'm sure others will benefit from it as well.
