It was taken care of. Now it has to be "was taken care of" again.

I'm not sure but since it does not appear to affect 10.2.1.1055, they must have changed some internal code so that devices on the LEAK/BETA OS are not affected by whatever server issue creates this nonsense.

Started for me this morning.

Since turning off BlackBerry Protect and Location Services, I've had no more issues.

The only caveat is I can't use apps that need GPS/Location Services.

Hi All, still having the problem, I've wiped out my Q10 twice and I chased my device, I noticed that after wiping out the device everything was alright for days till I updated any app or downloaded any new app from appworld, and it seems that tech. support doesn't have any solution, imagine typing outdoors at night!!!!

It affects me on leak 1259.
Proximity sensor is the especially annoying one as phone calls are now a pain with the z10

You should probably upgrade to 1925

Hmm, I'm on Russia MegaFon too and have sensors problem. It started when I was still on 10.2.0.424, update to 10.2.1.537 don't solve it :C

Yes, latest firmware don't fix this issue. I'm try to install other firmwares and leak's. And see that issue on every installation.

Have the same problem for a year now. Tried different leaks. The sensor works when it wants) now installed the 1925, the issue didn't dissappear.

Hey everyone, I started having this issue in late January and restarting with Location and Security services off didn't help. Nor did updating to the latest version. Nor did security wipes and reinstalling the OS before restoring my data.

What can I do to move forward on this?

After not having had the problem since August 2013, the issue came back now in March. My BB cannot be woken up most of the time (screen remains black). Restarting/removing battery etc. did not fix the problem. Usually screen comes back after a few minutes of waiting. Looking at all the different proposals on the net, which sometimes work and sometimes not, I wonder whether it has not more to do with an overload of the processor or memory, and the more we try to wake it up, the longer it stays black.

In any case, based on the recent posts about this matter, it appears to be a widely spread issue, with also the Z30 facing similar issues. So it is about time BB offers a solution. It would be a pity having to give up this phone for such a reason. But I can't really work with a device which does not work most of the time.

If i security wipe my device then my proximity and light sensors starts working, but they dont work for more than few minutes. I dont know after which event, but when i make a call i come to know that my sensors have stopped working.

I have created the Log Report, please advice me.

Such a shame. Sensors are not working after I by mistake tried to send my location to a whatsapp group (I cancelled it though). I am from India and maps anyway doesn't work here. I tried turning off location services and restartin, battery pulling and all. None of it worked. I am actually pissed off with this buy. Any help?

A week back i have bought Q10 and made two three calls. Proximity sensor was working absolutely fine.
Suddenly then I was intimated to update my OS to 10.2 and I did that.
Soon after the update i have noticed that proximity sensor is no more effective though the light is blinking.
Here is the LOG File. Pls help me out !!

I believe my Q10 may have been affected by this but am not sure. I had recently replaced the lcd/digitizer screen because it had a crack in it. Since the replacement, the digitizer/sensor isn't working. May be hardware issue. However, before this, I had an issue with the sensor after I updated to 10.2. Did a reset to factory settings. System boots up good, to the point of the Welcome (blue) screen. Colour and quality appears great. When prompted to swipe to next step, it fails to do anything by touch. Yet there is on screen movement with arrows moving in "emergency 911" & "slide to left" prompt. It just won't connect when I try to tap or move screen manually. The space bar allows me to move the agreement form up but wont follow through to next link when pressing enter key. Sorry, can't get Log File posted.. havin a rough day! #349

Try to switch off your Location, go to settings -> scroll down to Location Services and switch it off! And then restart your phone and check if the problem persists. Hope this works!
