My sensors have stopped working since I updated to 10.2.1 and having rotation lock issues
Let us know how things work out after you try the workarounds described earlier in the thread...

For no apparent reasons (no update, no reboot, no uninstall) my sensors are working again. Very weird.. i just really hope it's a software issue and not a hardware problem!

You may have seen my tweets on that already: https://twitter.com/peter9477/status/408777789123203072 and https://twitter.com/peter9477/status/408778545255575552

Glad to hear someone else is seeing the same thing (though unhappy that either of us is facing it), so I know it's probably something BlackBerry could figure out and resolve for us.

I really hope to avoid the "just do a wipe" approach on this, which would be a big #fail.

Mine has now been connected to BB servers since the morning, which is the longest it's managed yet since the incident began. Fingers crossed that it stays good this time. These things have felt like aftershocks from an earthquake. :-(
I lost connection to the BlackBerry servers at 23:02 yesterday. Since a reboot, I haven't lost connection to the servers.
My kb backlight still stays lit even with the screen off.

Sensors on my Z10 , OS 10.2.1.1055 stopped working again yesterday morning (Dec 10). Appears to be only effecting phone orientation at this point. I've tried battery pulls, restarts, etc. I'm surprised by the intermittent nature of this.

    WARNING

The problem is from the android runtime, I we downgraded from 1055 to 10.2.0.1791 and I installed the 1055 android runtime and I saw the same problem, the rotation from the top of the screen was locked, but the sensor was acting crazy, so i think I found the problem

So I restored back to software release 10.2.1.176 and rotation was still not working. So I did a full wipe and still no joy. I noticed though that the OS version is still 10.2.1.1055. If I understand correctly the problem lies in the OS. So how do I get off of the one I have?

Install a 10.2 OS, you can reload it through BlackBerry Link. Connect your phone and click on reload software. Do a back up but when you restore, untick settings as it will cause u issues when u have your phone back on 10.2.

I'm now on 10.2.0.429 software and 10.2.0.1803 OS. Still no sensors. I've downloaded BBsensors app and the only thing that is getting a reading is GPS.

Feel like I'm running out of options.

To all you guys posting about issue with your sensors: you may find it more useful to try the workarounds first, to see if (a) this lets you get back to work, and (b) whether this is the same problem as this thread was created for.

Basically, if it's the same issue, then by disabling your data connections (wifi and cellular) and rebooting you should see the sensor functionality restored.

If this does NOT work for you, then please start a new thread because it's unlikely it's the same issue.

If it IS the same issue, then you really need to post your OS version and other details (e.g. carrier, region, precisely which sensors you think are failing) or there's not much point posting here. It won't help you or anyone else to just say "mine doesn't work". Cheers!

Well I'm not sure if this is related or not; my keyboard has become ultra sensitive. If I just barely brush the "n" key - on the Q10 - it will print multiple "n"s to the screen - or else capitalise the letter "n".

And if I attempt to press any key around the "n" key - the "b,h,j,k,m" keys - the "n" character appears first.

And - generally - the keyboard has instances where a single character press is registered as nmultiple presses: eg "nnn" for a SINGLE press. (I found it wearisome to edit this text - before posting).

Now, I would swear this has nbeen happening SINCE the sensor debacle.

    Hence why I posted here.

    Weird.

    Any help appreciated :-)
