These days with the new facebook apps out for Andriod and ios you can pretty much just type @xxxxxxx name to tag a person in any status or persons staus can this be done on our facebook apps?

Actually i think in other apps you can just type the name and it does an instant search, and you can select the name you want... but no, i don't believe the BlackBerry Facebook app can do that.

You should be able to tag any of your friends within the FB app! I know I can..

Yes ie in a pic click a pic and click tag icon and tag away and when doing a status click on the person plus and tag away

I think they are talking about tagging people in comments. That isn't possible afaik

The current app won't handle tags in comments. As already mentioned use the browser version if you need to do that.

Maybe a FB app upgrade for BB10 will being that someday.

You could always just sideload the android fb app
I use it if I really need to tag someone. But I see nothing wrong otherwise with the BlackBerry fb app
