That is a more concrete answer thank you. Even if Whatsapp by default does share your information with Facebook. Yes you can opt out......until the next update you have to opt out again.

The most important feature of a messaging product is who you can communicate with using the product. The size of the user base is a key reason why Whatsapp is so popular. A key knock against BBM is past history. When it first introduced cross platform apps they were buggy and many people deleted the app.
Instead of find ways to keep whatsapp, I prefer to ask everyone download BBM , lol

Ask me.
If I can convince someone on Android that blackberry is not dead and to install their software, maybe even buy one of their blackberry / Android phones, then maybe just maybe I can convince them to download BBM. What do you think?
I'm going for it. I'll let you know what happens. I'm starting a revolution.
Hi BoomBotz, download BBM.

Well if Whatsapp works as well with the WAfixer, as Signal Private Messenger or Telegram then I think I will have a much longer life using my Passport. New life breathing in.
I lent my spare Passport to a long time Androider friend of mine and he is just stumped at the battery life and how fluid it works. I think I infected him.

Yes no doubt!

No. I don't use the app.
I'm experiencing that now, but it's because of camera problems, not WhatsApp.
