    Hangouts.v.4.0.100406486.b.22542590.crk.LVL.Auto.R emoved

Using only for messaging, and all of the sudden stopped.

Yours is the last version before they moved to Lollipop. Nothing you can do. Your version has now been blocked.

Nikola, it's indeed possible that Google is actively blocking older versions of the app. However, I'll see if I can find one that will work for you. I'll keep you posted.

There's a client for Hangouts on BBW called 'HG10' you could try in the meantime...it won't support groups though FYI.

I downloaded that, using it till I find solution for this.
I heard Google will completely shutdown hangouts by the end of the next year, so either way would need to find replacement for that.

Just bugging me that simple apps like this won't work on our system, nothing else...

Hangouts isn’t being shutdown. It’s being turned into Hangouts Chat and Hangouts Meet in the future. Here’s a linked article from Android Central.

Like @chuckfinley69 says, Android is your best bet. I jumped from a Classic to PRIV because I couldn't get Hangouts working with our dual factor authentication scheme.

Well, this is an Android app put out by Google, which has shown a marked disregard for users of other mobile OSes. It's a simple app on Android devices but on BB10 devices it runs via an older runtime.

Are you still wanting Android Hangouts Nikola? I find native BB10 apps are always preferable if possible...

This native one is OK for now, only need to use it for texting, it's doing the job for now.
Only reason I'm still using Passport is I'm doing dispatching business, need somewhat secured and reaaally fast email notices. But 90% of my partners are using Gmail, hence hooking up on Hangouts it's easier

Passport is no faster receiving email than any other platform. IMAP is IMAP. Security in transport depends exclusively on the email provider.

My secondary phone is HTC U Ultra. Both of them all the time with me.

Got email: Passport, PC than HTC. All set for instant synchronization.
