Say I'm driving down the freeway and my friend texts me, will the z10 (or q10) announce the text message then read it and ask if I want to reply to it with me touching the phone? I really need this feature because it's super useful and one of the features I'd hoped bb10 would have. Thank you

I think you'll find it in the voice control settings app.

Reading the message out loud is not a feature the OS has. However, almost every car now does.

And yes, you can reply using voice control.

You can send text messages with Voice Control. It doesn't read received messages, however.

Dictation is very good, though! I had to dictate the 'period's, however, or it just became a run-on sentence.

That is true about voice control. It is just used for dictation. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

yes, you can send a txt, you can't have the phone read received messages to you. I'm looking for this too. A VLingo type of option. Hey, maybe I should try VLingo sideloaded. Has anyone tried to sideload Vlingo?

Drive Safely for BlackBerry 7 devices worked good, but it is not out yet for BlackBerry 10.

Bebuzz does the read out loud. SAY IT app does NOT yet but I think it is coming. Same with hub ++.

I've relied on Drive Safely for awhile now for my commute and long trips. I emailed their support to ask about BB10 support, but I've heard nothing back from them. Maybe we need more people to ask the same thing to get an answer from them.
