I've had this problem for as long as I can remember on my Z10. Has anyone found a fix? I'm getting rather annoyed.

I receive messages from SOME people in my contact list, and instead of showing their name, it will show a randomly generated string. My contacts are mostly using Hangouts now, but not all of them do this. I have checked receiving messages from GTalk and Hangouts software, and it seems to be linked to specific contacts, instead of to what software they're using.

All received messages are in my Contacts app with their GTalk handle.

I'm betting it's the ID number tied to their Google+ account; not sure why it would display that rather than their name though.
