Have 10.3.2.44 now on the Q10 and it seems like the graphics designers didn't consider our smaller square screens when they glamorized/dumbed-down the hub. Now there's a wide menu bar taking up valuable space at the bottom of the screen, plus a huge blue circle for reply or compose that blocks your screen as you scroll.
Here is what mine looks like. Seems all good to me

And 10.2.1 doesn't scale. You can see what I mean when you bring the font down. You'll see much more content in the hub.

One more critique of the designers: the juvenile colors and appearance of the app icons. The hub is a productivity tool for professionals, so what genius made it bright marigold yellow with a tangerine notification? They completed the My Little Pony look with purple and lime green. Thank you for making my Q10 look like a toy phone.
Well the whole point of a notification is for you to notice it, they weren't going to make the hub greyscale...

And what makes you think professionals don't like vivid colors? I'm not sure you understand what the term professionals means.

You know what strange and kinda bizarre. On my z10 I have the option to hide action bar while scrolling in the hub on the way bigger screen. On the classic with the smaller screen, no such option. How does that make any sense??

Are you telling me you don't like the big, giant, stupid, blue button covering up all your messages (even when scrolling)?

Well that's very reasonable actually. 10.3 is poorly designed.

It's actually a better design if you compare them side by side. You get more messages in the same space when fonts are lowered.

I went into the settings page and change the font size value from 9 to 8 and there's more in the hub now.

If you change it any lower than 8, it doesn't look right.

    Thanks for the tip!

What does that have to do with the big circle button? Font size optimization in the hub could have been done with 10.2 aesthetics.

Easy to do, right? I set mine to 5 on Q10 and 6 on Passport. No problems and got a lot more in the hub!

I've set the bottom bar to never drop so the blue button doesn't bother me.

To everyone saying to lower the fonts and to disable icon labels; you just don't get it.

The blue dot is unnecessary while scrolling down, period. It and the 2 corner buttons (accounts and overflow) should auto-hide while scrolling; not just part of the bar, the whole freaking thing (like it did on 10.2.1).

Why is it so difficult to understand? While scrolling down, those 3 buttons are completely useless. So why should they be static?

Even with icon labels hidden and font set to 7, the blue dot while scrolling is an eye sore and an incredibly stupid design decision.

It's a little inoffensive blue dot...you guys act like when you open the hub a turd appears on your screen.

I agree the bar is unnecessary when scrolling, but hiding it while scrolling is useless too unless you plan to waggle your finger up and down as you view messages just to keep it hidden. Otherwise the minute you stop scrolling and look it will pop right up again.

    Did you even use 10.2.1?

The bar auto-hid on scroll down, only popped back up if you slightly scrolled up.

Those 2 steps make it the blue dot less of an issue.

    It's a work around.

If we didn't get "it" none of us would have posted on here trying to help.

    This.

Folks who are apologizing for BB's headscratching UI changes in 10.3 must not have used 10.2. Heck, even with the fixes to the Calendar app in 10.3.2, it's still not as usable as it was in 10.2.1.

I did and yes it did. I just don't think having it disappear while you scroll is a huge improvement. I am curious why they changed it, I just don't see it as a huge deal.

I'm more annoyed that they haven't given us dark theme hub, at least an as option.

It becomes a huge headache when you spend 80% of the time in the hub sending over 300-500 messages a day (through all channels; text, email, facebook, whatsapp, etc) for work. It would be incredibly more efficient if it behaved as 10.2.1 did.

I spend a lot more than 80% with 10 active emails everyday and I don't have any issues. It's like I don't see the blue compose icon when scrolling all over the hub.

No, what he's asking for is for the whole bar and the unnecessarily large blue circle to auto-hide when scrolling much like it did back in 10.2.1, and I completely agree with the OP. It's maddening on a Q10, the blue circle should auto-hide with the bar but it does not.

    Posted via CB10
I agree completely - just one of the many reasons I remain on 10.2.

And suggestions to reduce font size do not work for me. The grey on grey, flat icons, etc. make it necessary for me to reach for reading glasses. 10.2 and even back in the days of the Bold, reading glasses were not required. There is something in the UI that is just simply difficult to read when you are border line needing and not needing glasses.

If you're handling that many messages a day, I'd honestly grab a Passport instead. Hub management is a pleasure on the Passport.

I would if I could, but I can't so I won't. I'm on Verizon; grandfathered unlimited data and in Las Vegas Verizon trumps every other carrier in every part of this great city. AT&T is a close second, but it's utter garbage on the strip; I'm not even going to mention T-mobile and Sprint.

I had hope that the Passport would have been released on Verizon, but I've since given up waiting on something that seems will never happen.
