Have 10.3.2.44 now on the Q10 and it seems like the graphics designers didn't consider our smaller square screens when they glamorized/dumbed-down the hub. Now there's a wide menu bar taking up valuable space at the bottom of the screen, plus a huge blue circle for reply or compose that blocks your screen as you scroll. Another case of mindless tinkering that ignores what customers want and how they use their phones.

All is fine here. Doesn't bothered me.

You can go to display options to hide the text under the icons which will reduce the size of the bar. And why is it useless?

What's especially irksome is how the blue dot won't go away while you're reading the actual message - it's like having a giant floater in your eye. Turning off the captions reduces the clutter but leaves the wide bar. Hide action bar when scrolling removes the bar but leaves the dot.

What you're probably really asking for is the ability to change the colour of it to gray. I remember when it was green in 10.3.1. The blue is better.

No, what he's asking for is for the whole bar and the unnecessarily large blue circle to auto-hide when scrolling much like it did back in 10.2.1, and I completely agree with the OP. It's maddening on a Q10, the blue circle should auto-hide with the bar but it does not.

I like the button to stay put, I use it all the time. I guess it could be optional but what does it matter, it barely covers over one message in the hub?

Covering 1 message in the hub on the Q10 is 1 message too many. And using it all the time is a terrible excuse; no one uses the blasted blue dot while scrolling through the messages.

Just one of several poor design decisions that keep me from using 10.3.* on my Q10.

Consider using a smaller font... it scales.

The designers seem biased toward all-touch slab of glass phones like the Leap (which Mr. Chen noted this week hasn't been popular with BlackBerry's customers.)

The designer should make it so that it auto hides when scrolling down but to use it, rather then scrolling all the way to the top, the user simple scrolls up a tiny bit and it will pop up for use. This works well in ios safari for their website URL bar

Doesn't blackberry realize the #1 thing BlackBerry customers want is a keyboard? Saw my aunt for the first time in a year, she's still on a curve, refusing to get a new phone cuz she likes a keyboard, showed her my GF's classic and she got so excited, she didn't even know it was available.

There are still tons of people on old devices... classic should have been the first BB10 device.

And when you delete a message the undo bar that appears should be at the bottom on the Q10, slightly overlapping the compose circle.

OK, I misunderstood then. Was thinking about removing text below icons even when not scrolling. Thanks anyhow!

Don't know why you had to even mention iOS, it had that behavior in 10.2.1 and some "genius" though it would be brilliant to make it work as it does now in 10.3.1+

It's almost as if they wanted to take a dump on Q10 users.

The only reason I mentioned IOS is because I'm fimilar with it since my mother uses it but os 10.2 and the q10 isn't fimilar to me but the way in ios handles this kinda thing was on my mind while reading it

One more critique of the designers: the juvenile colors and appearance of the app icons. The hub is a productivity tool for professionals, so what genius made it bright marigold yellow with a tangerine notification? They completed the My Little Pony look with purple and lime green. Thank you for making my Q10 look like a toy phone.
