Just got the PP and loving it for a day plus. Have it set up exactly as I like it- all the apps, including the Google patches, etc. Question is should I update to OS 1154 + Radio 1155 'Blitz' Non-Destructive or wait for an even more stable version of 10.3.1? I'm hearing a "final" release may be a month or two away. Is this version nearly bug free or wait?
    Thanks. GT

Its pretty good, and why wouldn't you update before you set up all your info,

10.3.1.1154 is nearly glitch-free for me on my Passport--I would recommend doing the "Blitz". I saw today that .1154 is going to be the release OS on the Classic, so it must be good enough for a daily driver on that device. I have had some screen flickering on my Passport but nothing major. The Blitz install was beautiful and easy.

Thanks brookie. if that info is correct, it's a go. What was the source of that info (release version) if I may ask?
Withdrawl- exciting brand new device, wouldn't you want to at least check out how it runs on the native OS before thinking about leaks? I plan to do full backups with a non destructive update anyway.

Update using autoloader, after an SIC wipe, it's the most bug-free/error-free method.

No need for the SIC wipe in my opinion.

I'm really counting on the Sachesi method as I don't want to do the wipe!

Sachesi can take time, and is error prone. And later you will come here complaining about some issue :P. That's why I asked you to use an autoloader, anyway since it is a new phone, why not wipe it?

Just a suggestion, cuz I think it'd have at least 1% advantage over just using an autoloader :P

I usually use Sic, but the last couple times I noticed it was better to load the 10.3.1 OS and just do a wipe after.

I'd just run an autoloader, 10.3.1.1154

Yes a security wipe after, is necessary too . It does make a difference!

I installed the leak. Blend wouldn't work on it. However someone told me on here to reinstall the blend bars or something. I wasn't comfortable doing what they suggested so I reinstalled the original OS. Anyway if you plan on using blend you might do some homework. Maybe someone will comment about this. Good luck and enjoy your Passport. It truly is a amazing phone

From what I've been readiing on these forums it seems as if the jump from OS to OS isn't that huge, (i.e., don't go from 10.2 to any 10.3 using Sachesi), then all should be good as far as issues. True?

Yes, you have to install 1151 blend bar for it to work.

I've been doing some testing with this on my spare z10--going from 10.2.1.3442 with lots of android apps installed to test the runtime etc to 10.3.1.1154 using the Blitz method, and it has worked beautifully. I have done the conversion 3 times changing various parameters and have encountered no problems. However this was with my spare z10. I, of course, also used the Blitz for my Passport and had no problems. Still there are no guarantees are there?

Don't install any leak, work with the official you have because you will have flash in your browser and blend will work worry free, when the official comes out in under 3 weeks then you can install 10.3.1.X

.1154 apparently IS going to be the release version, give or take a final tweek. And flash is a dead issue moving forward AFAIK.

I wouldn't install a leak. Your already on 10.3 and you have an unlocked device so I'd just wait until an official release.

Sachesi is definitely the way to go, autoloaders are more pain than they're worth...

Yes a security wipe after, is necessary too . It does make a difference!
And then boil it for at least 10 minutes and dry it in the oven @ 400 degrees...
