I love my Blackberry Classic. I'm running Before the update, when I used GoogleMaps there would be a blue dot to indicate where am I, and as I moved the dot would move to indicate my position. The blue dot is no longer there. I'm using
How do I get the blue dot back? Do I need to change a setting? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Swipe down from the top and select Google Maps. If asked allow access to location services.

I'm not sure why just using the browser doesn't work, but I had the same problem as you. I may have at some point told the browser not to let Google have my position data.

Anyway HelloGPS uses the same web rendering engine as the browser but has a different application context so it isn't associated with the browser. I'm not claiming it provides any privacy protection, but sometimes it is handy to have access to Google maps features.
